When am I billed for my membership?
Memberships are billed on a monthly basis through either a bank draft (EFT) or credit card payment. The payment due date each month will automatically be set for date you join. The member will then be billed on that same date each month thereafter. The day you complete the sign-up process online, the enrollment fee (when applicable) and the first month’s payment amount are due.
Our membership agreements do not lock the member in for any certain amount of time. The individual may choose to cancel their account at any point during their membership with us, for any reason.
Certain exceptions and rules may apply to different membership types. Please see a membership representative or the director of the specific program you are involved with for details.
-
Can another person be added to this membership account?
Yes, the General and Senior membership options can have more than one member on the account, but it has to be completed at HealthWorks. Please see one of our membership representatives for further information on the qualifications for secondary members.
Each specialty membership (i.e.: Swim Team, Rock Steady Boxing, Soo Bahk Do) however, is only eligible for one person per account. If you have more than one child that would like to participate in a program, they must be signed up separately.
-
How old do you have to be to join HealthWorks Fitness Center online?
Individuals completing the online agreement must be 18 years or older. If an adult is completing the online agreement for a minor, the adult must sign the contract in its entirety, and in some cases will be required to remain on the premises each time the minor is utilizing the service (participating in a program) in the facility. Please see one of our membership representatives for further details.
-
What do I need to bring with me for my first visit to the gym after joining online?
We will need to verify your identity the first time you visit our facility after joining online, for the safety of everyone here at HFC. Please provide one of the following: a valid driver’s license, a state issued ID (must include pic. and name), a passport, a school ID (must include pic. and name), etc. for that verification. Please stop by our front desk to have one of our team members assist you further.
If a parent has signed up a minor, the parent must be present with that minor upon the first visit to HFC. The level of guardianship needed inside our facility for that minor will be determined based on the minor’s age. (The minimum age requirement for a minor to be unaccompanied by a legal guardian, once a member of our facility, is 15 years old.)
Additional documentation needed to complete the membership process will be discussed during the first visit.
We want you to be as familiar with our facility as possible, so please stop by our front desk and ask to see one of our team members for a tour!
